Children & Family Education

Each spring the Museum hosts an exhibition of art work, “Anything is Possible” featuring student work in a variety of media from the Taos Municipal Schools. Over 300 students are showcased through this presentation with an opening reception enjoyed by the entire community. Music, dance performances and demonstrations add to the celebration of student achievements in the arts.

Community days, twice yearly, are free events designed for the entire family. In December and May the focus in upon traditional local arts with a holiday fiesta or a folk life festival.  Both community days combine traditional art activities with cultural performances. In May, many events occur outside on the east lawn of the Museum as well as in various galleries. In December the many galleries come alive with holiday presentations including a visit from Santa Claus!
