The Museum is the site of choice for many receptions, lectures and events hosted by local government, businesses and other service groups and associations.

Located four miles north of Taos Plaza off the primary road, the Museum is sited on a high ridge amidst sagebrush and pinon pine. A dramatic view of the iconic Taos Mountain and other peaks in the Sangre de Cristo range creates an impressive backdrop. Ample parking is available and visitors are welcomed through a grand, exterior portado into a traditional Southwestern structure. 

The Museum features numerous exhibit areas devoted to the permanent collection and several galleries showcase special, temporary exhibitions. Theses galleries are open for viewing the are grouped about a enclosed courtyard ideal for receptions and meetings. Larger events are accommodated outdoors on the east garden with impressive views in all directions.
